Senior Week 12



This week was very productive. On friday. I was able to bend and fully assemble the bracket for the Linear Actuator. This was pretty simple as it was one part that needed two bends which was simple enough and then on Monday I had to drill out the hole to fit the 5/16ths cotter pin thing that It pivots around. Origionally I had wanted to use a simple shoulder bolt, however we had these in the Shop and they are plenty good.

Senior Week 11



This was an extraordinarily slow week, with only 4 days and a gym period. This week I mainly was working on the lamp project Mr. Christy asked me to machine for him. This was quite time consuming as its a bunch of 14-18 inch long endmill passes in aluminum sheet metal. This was only one side of it so now I have to do it to the other side, and apparently there is a way to make it go much faster.

Senior Week 10



This week I kept working on the Brackets for the linear actuator, which hasn’t really had any setbacks. Unfortunatly parallel to that when we were adding the box for the control board on the working golfcart, something that I had a softmore whip up, the capacitors on the board exploded quite spectacularly. This was mainly because the power was plugged in backwards, which wasn’t without reason but with most of the reason being that I’m stupid.
